A design that remains mindful and true to the original buildings context and historical significance. Up keeping the integrity of the existing factory ‘bones’ was vital to our client. Walls and floors that were built in more recent years were removed to expose charred beams and remnant paint, scars of its past. By embracing the buildings industrial past, a visual discourse between new and old is created through insertions of modern materials.
