Alabaster House

Gently sloping through a mosaic of fynbos, boulders and dunes, the site stays true to the charming characteristics of Cape Towns surfer town, Llandudno. The project concept utilizes the beach as the central space of the house, and by way of contrast offsets this with angled geometry; making the most of the surrounding landscape and maximizing the panoramic views of the ocean and famous sunsets. This synthesis of a natural landscape, by gathering its elements, is a reinterpretation of the distant coast.
